Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Every tool is free to try: 7 days free on the yearly plan, or 2 days free on the monthly plan. You start the free trial with a card, but you won’t be charged today, and if you cancel before the trial ends you pay nothing. After the trial it’s $29.78 a year (just $2.48 a month, 17% less) or $2.99 a month. There’s one plan with everything: every tool, unlimited downloads, no watermark.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, anytime, with no risk: go to quickpdfapp.com/cancel (or Pricing > Manage or cancel subscription), enter your email and cancel. Cancel during the free trial (7 days on yearly, 2 on monthly) and you are not charged at all. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. Sign in, open your PDF and edit it as much as you like. When you download or share, start your free trial (7 days on yearly, 2 on monthly) to get your file.

Why do I need an account?

Your subscription belongs to your account, so it works on every device where you sign in. The account only holds your name, email and how many files you saved. Your documents are still edited and saved on your device and never uploaded.

Do you upload my files?

No. Quick PDF works inside your browser. Your PDF is read, edited and saved on your device, and never sent to us or anyone else.

Does it work on my phone and computer?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on computers, Android phones, iPhones and tablets, with nothing to install. You can also add it to your home screen.

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

Yes, for PDFs that contain real text (most PDFs made on a computer). Choose “Edit text”, then select a line. Quick PDF covers the old words with the page color and writes your new words in a matching size and a similar font. The old words are hidden, not deleted. If they must be gone for good, also use Redact. Scanned PDFs are images, so there is no text to select; you can still add text and white-out.

How does redaction work?

Draw boxes over what to hide, or select a line of text. When you download, every page with a redaction is rebuilt as an image with the boxes burned in, so the hidden text no longer exists in the file. Those pages will no longer have selectable text.

Is my signature saved?

Only in this browser on this device, so you can reuse it. Clear it from the signature panel any time.

How do I fill a PDF form?

Open the form and select any box to type. Tick checkboxes and choose options. When you download you can flatten the form so it can’t be changed.

Can I merge PDFs and photos together?

Yes. Open the Merge tool and choose PDFs and images. Drag pages into order, then download one PDF.

How much can Compress shrink a file?

It depends on the file. PDFs with photos or scans shrink the most. “Balanced” keeps text sharp and recompresses images. “Smallest” turns every page into a compressed image (text is no longer selectable).

Can you remove a password I don’t know?

No. Unlock only works when you type the correct password.

Is there a file size limit?

No fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device’s memory; phones and computers handle typical documents (up to a few hundred pages) fine.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the editor is saved in your browser and keeps working without internet.

What can I do with Quick PDF?

Edit the text in a PDF, add text, sign, fill forms, highlight and comment, add images, white-out and redact; merge, split, rotate, reorder, delete and extract pages; compress; convert photos to PDF and PDF to JPG or PNG; scan with your camera; and add or remove a password. See every tool on the Features page (quickpdfapp.com/features).

Can I convert a PDF to Word?

No. Quick PDF edits the PDF itself, so you don’t need to convert it: change the text, add text, sign or fill it and download a PDF again. It doesn’t export to Word, Excel or PowerPoint.

Can I make a PDF smaller than 1 MB?

Often, yes. Open Compress and try Balanced first; if it’s still too big, try Smallest, which turns pages into compressed images. Files with photos or scans shrink the most. If a long file is still too big, split it into parts.

Can I sign a PDF on my iPhone or Android phone?

Yes. Open Quick PDF in Safari or Chrome, choose your PDF, tap Sign and draw your signature with your finger (or type or upload it), place it and download or share the signed PDF.
